Under the project “STI and HIV Prevention Service Package for the Brothel Based Sex Workers and their Client Service Package-1 (SP – 1)” funded by the AIDS/STD Programme (ASP) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a Project Coordination and Review meeting was conducted by the Joint Venture lead by PIACT Bangladesh on 28 February 2022. Dr. Md. Khurshid Alam, Line Director- TB-L and AIDS/STD Programme, DGHS, MoHFW attended the meeting as the ‘Chief Guest’ where the other senior officials from ASP attended the review.

The Executive Directors of the other two partners i.e. Ms. Shaheen Akhter Dolly, Nari Maitree, and Mr. Sharif Mostafa Helal, BWHC participated in the meeting. Along with the DIC managers of BWHC Implemented DICs (Tangail, Banishanta, and Jamalpur), the other seven DIC managers participated in this important coordination and review meeting. Besides, all the Project Officers, M&E Coordinators, Leam leaders along with other project staff were present in the meeting. The discussion started followed by a current status presentation where all the participants reviewed the progress and gave their expert opinion to the way forward the challenges.
