BWHC appointed it’s new Executive Director

SharifMr. Sharif Mostafa Helal has been appointed as the new Executive Director of Bangladesh Women’s Health Coalition. He is the successor of Dr. Sharifa Begum and joined the BWHC on 10 May 2016. After carrying out special mission of eleven months as ‘Interim Chief Executive’, Dr. Sharifa resumed her previous role with BWHC in General Body effect from 10 May 2016.

 

Mr. Sharif brings to this assignment, over 19 plus years of experiences working in the key areas of development sectors especially, Program Management, Coordination & Communication, M&E and Social Research. Previously, Sharif served the United Nations System in Bangladesh along with several national and international organizations under several capacities and portfolios both in the country and abroad.

 

Mr. Sharif holds an MSS with BSS (Honors) in Social Welfare from the University of Dhaka. He is about to complete his PhD from Jahangir Nagar University with the major in Government and Politics. He is author/co-author of numbers of ‘research reports’ and ‘write up’ on his academic and professional career.
