• Started its first clinic with Menstrual Regulation (MR) service in response to reduce high maternal mortality due to septic and clandestine abortion. It has played a significant role in establishing National MR Coordination Agencies in Bangladesh (MRCAB) in partnership with Government.
• MR Fresher and Refresher training started for Government in service Family Welfare Visitors (FWVs) in menstrual regulation procedures since 1983.

An integrated health center was established for sex workers in Taan Bazar Brothel, Narayangonj district and in Mirhajirbagh of Dhaka City.

• Admission of the obstetric fistula patients at the rehab center, Timely referred of the obstetric fistula patients to the DMCH, SSMC & Mitford Hospital and Ad-din Hospital, Investigation services and blood provided to obstetric fistula patients as required during the operation. Enrich the total number of community on ” Campaign to end obstetric fistula in Bangladesh”.

• Increase access to high quality safe abortion and abortion related services including management of complication among women and young girls

• The intervention will create an innovative model/mechanism that will contribute to improving the overall social development of women and men in the selected areas. The intervention will lead to a sustainable impacting creating solidarity and knowledge-sharing amongst slum-dwellers in recognizing and realizing their rights.

• Community empowerment will increase women’s empowerment, safety and dignity through challenging social norms and informal power structures which condone and perpetuate violence against women, and prevent women from accessing employment and services.
  Recognising this, the project will use community empowerment strategies to work towards an outcome where women living in slums are raising their voices and being heard regarding the protection and recognition of their rights.
• Advocacy by experienced organisations at both local/community and national level will increase women’s empowerment, safety and dignity through removing some of the institutional objects to their realisation, specifically the lack of protection of women’s rights by relevant stakeholders. As such, the project will use advocacy to work towards an outcome where there is increased and effective implementation of existing laws and policies and initiatives taken for necessary reform with a focus on protection of women workers’ rights by relevant stakeholders, whether garment factory workers or domestic workers.
• Direct service provision will increase women’s empowerment, health, safety and dignity through lifting some of the constraints on women’s access to the health and legal services which are essential to the realisation of women’s health and rights. Recognising this, the project works towards an outcome where a working woman living in the slums is accessing the convenient, gender-friendly, and affordable and quality services she needs with fewer restrictions, in a protected environment within her community.

• Clinical service – Safe motherhood, Family Planning, MR Service, Follow up of MR , Gynecological services, EPI, Counseling , ANC , PNC, LCC, Lab Service, Other Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRH) services through 8 urban , semi urban and rural health centers like Polash, Tangail, Lohagara, Sylhet, Zokigonj, Jatrabari, N.gonj, Shaghata.
• Community Activities – Awareness raising about sexual and reproductive health rights, imparting health education, conducting, community based BCC, Observing, different days, meeting with community leaders etc.

• To enable women’s empowerment and provide economic, based on the consideration that a healthy worker is able to contribute meaningfully to society.
• To further women’s increased freedom of movement and increased capacity with regard to decision-making and negotiation skills. The intervention will jointly work with women in the community to overcome social, economic, and legal (both formal and informal) barriers prevailing in the slum environment and the work environment.
• The intervention will create an innovative model/mechanism that will contribute to improving the overall social development of women and men in the selected areas. The intervention will lead to a sustainable impacting creating solidarity and knowledge-sharing amongst slum-dwellers in recognizing and realizing their rights.

• Community empowerment will increase women’s empowerment, safety and dignity through challenging social norms and informal power structures which condone and perpetuate violence against women, and prevent women from accessing employment and services.
  Recognising this, the project will use community empowerment strategies to work towards an outcome where women living in slums are raising their voices and being heard regarding the protection and recognition of their rights.
• Advocacy by experienced organisations at both local/community and national level will increase women’s empowerment, safety and dignity through removing some of the institutional objects to their realisation, specifically the lack of protection of women’s rights by relevant stakeholders. As such, the project will use advocacy to work towards an outcome where there is increased and effective implementation of existing laws and policies and initiatives taken for necessary reform with a focus on protection of women workers’ rights by relevant stakeholders, whether garment factory workers or domestic workers.
• Direct service provision will increase women’s empowerment, health, safety and dignity through lifting some of the constraints on women’s access to the health and legal services which are essential to the realisation of women’s health and rights. Recognising this, the project works towards an outcome where a working woman living in the slums is accessing the convenient, gender-friendly, and affordable and quality services she needs with fewer restrictions, in a protected environment within her community.

• Systems strengthening: Strengthen national and community child protection systems to increase protection for CABA and ChSWs.
• Improving access to services: CABA and ChSWs have improved access to basic and protective services that reduce their vulnerabilities to violence, abuse and exploitation
• Building protective communities: Community members have the skills and confidence to access government CP system and discrimination at the community level towards CABA and ChSW is reduced.

• Objective 1: Increase the quality comprehensive abortion care and post-abortion care with modern facilities and new abortion technologies;
• Objective 2: Ensure engagement of targeted communities and stakeholders to promote positive attitude and to fight against stigmas about abortion through information dissemination, advocacy and motivational activities;
• Objective 3: Ensuring available abortion information on existing facilities and SRH&R services with a 24/7 helpline services;
• Objective 4: Prevention of sexual and reproductive health complicacies by ensuring comprehensive awareness program;
• Objective 5: Documentation of present status, problems and needs of the targeted excluded population regarding SRH&R.

• Community engagement through workshop, seminar, BCC sessions, formal – informal community program/gathering as participants or resource person to ensure his/her active participation and influence for the potential clients to access to the existing services and necessary changes in their system as well.
• BCC session by Community Health Volunteers for promoting the available services and commodities in the community 24 hours in 7 days of the week by hotline.
• BCC sessions through courtyard meetings for community women and school sessions with young girls on reproductive health & rights issues, on reducing child/early marriage and unexpected/unplanned pregnancy.
• Observance of Global Menstrual Hygiene Day (28 May)
• Conduct Baseline survey on the targeted areas and beneficiaries on current situation of SRHR related issues
• Research on the existing believes and practices regarding sexual and reproductive health, needs and problems of SRH of women and young girls among targeted population.

• To explore the formal and informal methods to combat gender-based violence to build effective institutional frameworks and governance in the field of gender violence;
